Our website is set up to gather small pieces of information—none of it is personalized unless you volunteer that information by filling out and submitting a form.

We will not share any of your information and, unless you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will not store it for more than a year. You can unsubscribe from our email at any time.

Here are some things to know.

When you leave a comment or fill out a form:

If you leave a comment or fill out an inquiry form, we’ll have access to any data you put in a comment form, as well as your IP address and browser user agent string to help us weed out spam.

If you leave a comment you can opt-in to save your name, email address and other data in cookies—it just means you won’t have to fill them in again if you fill out the form in the future. These cookies last for one year.

When we embed content from other websites:

Some of the articles on our site include embedded content (mainly videos, hosted in Vimeo). Embedded content from other websites behaves exactly as though you had visited the other website. These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content—including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

What rights you have over your data:

If you have filled out a form or left comments, you can ask us for an exported file of any personal data we hold about you—including any data you have given us. You can also ask us to erase any personal data we hold about you, and we’ll do it. This doesn’t include any data we’re obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
