Marketing Assistant (PT Contract)

THE JOB

We are looking for a motivated and creative Marketing Assistant to join our dynamic Marketing team for a 1-day-per-week contract role (7-8h/week). This position is ideal for a freelancer or student looking to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing and content creation. As a Marketing Assistant, you'll play an integral part in the production and management of our podcast, My Best Campaign, while assisting in various marketing tasks for both internal and client projects. You'll also support our Project Manager with admin tasks and basic office management.

This is an in-person role in our East Vancouver office, on Wednesdays.

DAY TO DAY YOU WILL

  • Work closely with the Marketing team to produce, create content, and manage content strategy for our podcast–My Best Campaign
  • Monitor and report on internal marketing metrics
  • Assist in the creation, scheduling, and management of content for Monday's social media
  • Assist with design and production of marketing materials, including reels, audiograms, social posts, brand templates, copywriting, and website visuals needed for both internal and client projects
  • Support with admin needs, including placing snack orders, watering plants, and office care 
  • Collaborate with the rest of the team as needed

QUALITIES AND SKILLS YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

  • You have excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship skills
  • You have a good understanding of digital marketing platforms and tools
  • You have expertise in content creation, including copywriting and video editing
  • You understand SEO best practices and how to bring them to life on-page
  • You know your way around design tools like Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • You have a working knowledge of Google Analytics
  • You’re an entrepreneurial spirit who enjoys a fast-paced environment 
  • You’re able to give and receive feedback on creative
  • You’re a relentless learner 
  • You take full personal responsibility for your life and actions. You never blame—you find solutions

THESE WOULD BE REALLY NICE 

  • At least ​1​ year in a marketing-related position, freelancing or building your own content following
  • Fluent in Instagram, ability to create reels and edit video
  • Understanding of experience in podcast production
  • Availability to occasionally work additional hours (remotely) if needed
